Enjoy some of the stunning moorland walks or you could visit local sheepstor and see the cottage and localities used in the film warhorse. There are golf courses, horse riding, coarse fishing and cycle hire available locally. Dog walkers are now welcome (new) to enjoy estate walks at the national trust buckland abbey estate (former home of sir francis drake, a 4 minute drive).
