A self-catering cottage in Windermere will give you a real taste of the Lakeland lifestyle, with plenty of facilities and attractions on your doorstep. The village is less than 30 minutes from the M6 and also well served by a train station in the centre of the village. The village, found just off the famously scenic A591 - the main route into the heart of the Lakes, is only a couple of miles up the road from Bowness Bay and the shores of Lake Windermere.
Windermere village is well equipped if you want to eat in or out. You'll be able to stock up on quality fresh produce at the high class Booths supermarket. The headquarters of Lakeland Ltd is a mecca for cooks and the high street offers a wide range of smaller local shops.
