“Beautiful house in a lovely, quaint town” We love Twain Harte and have been coming here for years, but this is the first time we've rented a house. We're so glad we found The Roost! It's beautifully updated with loads of charming touches, and so, so comfortable. The specious deck was amazing, the furnishings and beds were cozy and inviting, and our kids were mad about the audrey Hepburn room and adjoining game room. The Roost has everything a family could want: plenty of space, both indoors and outdoors, great location within easy walking distance of town, and privileges at Twain Harte Lake. We spent a lot of time at the lake! Tammy is an accommodating and gracious hostess, and her home is beautiful and comfortable. We highly recommend it, and only wish we could have stayed longer!

“Amazing!!!”  First of all let me tell you that the pictures you have do not make the cabin justice!!! When we first got there on Friday as soon as we walked in we all had on our ooo...aaa..wwwoowww faces on!! We were and still are very impressed by how cozy and nice the place was! We were all very happy we chose to stay at your place. The house had everything we needed! All the rooms were perfect and everything was clean! I have absolutely no complaints!! I am still very happy with our stay at your house and want to thank you for letting our family stay and enjoy a very much needed family vacation! This was our first year doing anything like this and all my family members kept saying was "we are definitely making this a yearly trip"! We truly enjoyed ourselves and it was very close to town as well the location was great!! The entire stay was great!! “Relaxing, quiet weekend in the woods!” The hubby, myself and the pups had a wonderful stay at Chris's Cabin. It was clean, quiet and cozy with plenty of entertainment. The King size bed was super comfy - we are total bed snobs by the way. The couch and dining chairs however, not so much (but again, we are plush snobs.) The bakery in the village was delicious and we even had a little snow up the mountain to play in. It was a great, inexpensive weekend and we will definitely be back.

“Perfect and comfy house for a getaway or adventure” Only an hour and a half outside of Seattle, this beautiful cabin is a great escape in the majestic Cascades. The house was clean, well-organized, well-stocked, and very cozy. It was very comfortable for 4 adults. Plenty of space to cook and sit, and the patio was a real treat to soak up the wonderful summer weather. The backyard was a great place for yoga in the morning and tanning in the afternoon (we did have to run inside when a 1-2 year old black bear came by to snack on a raspberry bush, but that was quite exciting). Skykomish is very close to several outdoor activities in the Cascades, so it's great for the summer and the winter. I can't say enough good things about our stay here. Ken was extremely nice to work with, too! He provided great instructions and information, and he even called to check on us and make sure we were having a good stay. I highly recommend this cabin! Looking forward to coming back again.

“Off the beaten path but close to everything.” We were fortunate to find Mike and Nancy while searching for a halibut charter in Homer. The bonus was the cabin in Kasilof within a couple minutes of the Sterling Hwy. and 5 minutes from fishing the Kasilof and a local processor for our fish. If you want to fish in Homer I would strongly suggest the arctic addiction with Mike. He is a hard working, intelligent and prudent Mariner who knows what he's doing. As a former charter operator in Homer I can attest to his skills as a fisherman and gentleman. Nancy is gracious to a fault and makes you feel right at home. The cabin is spacious with everything you need. Except bug spray. Don't forget it. Grill you catch on the barbecue on the deck and kick back because it's as quiet as you want it to be. Mike and Nancy truly know what alaskan hospitality is all about and will have our business for as long as we go there.
