“A room with two excellent views” As if Florence isn't enough, I would go as far as to say that this luxury apartment is reason in itself to visit this beautiful city. Mario, our gracious landlord, greeted us from the taxi and we could not believe how centrally the apartment was located; literally one block from the Duomo, one block from the Medici Chapel and no more than 10 minutes walk to any prominent place of interest. The apartment was GORGEOUS. We honestly had a moment's worry that we had misinterpreted the cost by a decimal point it was so lovely. The place was a blend of antique furniture and tasteful modern conveniences: comfy beds, fully stocked kitchen, washing machine, plenty of towels, excellent heating, WiFi, and even SKY television and a nice sofa to crash out on after a day's walking. And the history of the place...it's something else. The poetess Corilla Olimpica used to live here, and once Mozart held an informal concert in this very building. It was a well-known hub of the arts back in the day. Mario took the time to recommend to us his personal favourite eateries, having purchased for us a map of the city, and even offered us use of two bicycles (which we didn't end up using as everything was so within walking distance). If you are planning on making use of the excellent kitchen facilities, be sure to hit the food market first thing, as buying food from the Spar store is very expensive and not nearly as fun as perusing all the fresh local produce in the market. Osteria Nuvoli is the nearest eatery (you can see it's small white awning from the front windows of the apartment) and has a "secret" cellar restaurant area downstairs. The food and wine is excellent and reasonably priced, and the ambiance is fantastic. There is no English menu so you'll have to hope that one of the lovely waitstaff has got enough English to talk you through the options! The second nearest eatery is a block down when you take a right out of the building and is called the Red Onion (or translates as such). This is another excellent restaurant and does delicious freshly made pasta dishes. Unless you are planning on hitting a significant number of museums and galleries, I would say that it is not necessary to buy a Florence Card. You will certainly not be making use of the public transportation as it truly is a very compact city. We had such a lovely stay in Florence and it is in great part due to Mario's welcome and his wonderful apartment. We can't recommend this place more highly. Grazie mille, Mario!

“Wonderful” Wow this apartment was gorgeous. Beautifully decorated, spacious, everything was spotless. Having a washing machine, coffee maker with coffee provided and a lovely bottle of wine made all the difference. Location was fantastic, right next to uffizi, plenty of restaurants, bars and shops nearby. Very fast and reliable wifi. Short walk to all the sites - would definitely stay here again. Thank you rosella. We will never forget Florence.

“Great Siena Flat” We had an excellent stay and experience with this flat. I would stay here again. First, Andrea was helpful in providing information on where to park, transportation options and personally met us when we arrived. He gave us a good orientation to the unit. It's located on the main street of Siena, close to everything. Andrea even pointed out favorite pastry shops and restaurants. High integrity guy. The flat was very clean and spacious. He provide extra sets of towels which was a plus. The unit has a washing machine and drying rack which we used and was helpful. He provided us some basic food to get started - yogarts, fruit juice. There's a great view from the dining room. The unit keeps a fairly even temp and just opening the windows gets a nice cross breeze. No screens on the windows but had no issues with bugs. As with any unit in the heart of the city, it's noisy if the windows are open. Closing them blocks most of the noise. The neighbors are quiet. The unit is on the 3rd floor. There's an elevator or about 100 stairs to climb.
