Spain is well known for its fantastic beaches, Flamenco music and dance, bullfights, extensive golf courses, a variety of mouth-watering culinary traditions and lots of sunshine. The country also boasts the green landscape of the Basque Country in the north, while the south offers the variety of magnificent skiing in the Sierra Nevada and the sheltered coastline of the Costa del Sol. A treasure trove of culture, history and art, Spain is home to a number of World Heritage cities, the futuristic ‘modernismo’ architecture of Barcelona and the busy capital city of Madrid.

Spain’s climate and unbeatable beaches has long made it a favourite holiday location, and with a multitude of attractions it is an ideal location for a family holiday. There are plenty of theme parks and child-friendly activities which take out the hassle of holidays for parents.

For the more active, there is excellent walking in the Picos de Europa and fantastic scuba diving and watersports.

Spain is rightly proud of its history, which it keeps alive in the old dialects still spoken in various regions and in its ancient fiestas and annual celebrations.
