Golf enthusiasts 'should head to Bermuda'
Bermuda is to be confirmed as a top holiday hotspot for golfing enthusiasts as the PGA Grand Slam of Golf is held there next year.Some of the biggest names in golf are going to be present at the tournament, with all keen to get their hands on a prize fund worth $1.25 million.
The grand slam will take place on October 16th and 17th 2007 at the Mid Ocean Club and the Fairmont Southampton.
"Bermuda has long been known as a golfer's paradise, worthy of the best players in the world," said Dr Ewart F Brown, Bermuda's minister of tourism and transport.
"For an island with more golf courses per square mile than anywhere else in the world, this tournament will showcase Bermuda as a world-class golf destination."
