Cyprus to become golfing Mecca
Cyprus is fast becoming a popular destination for Europe's golfers, according to easier.com.The travel website notes that the government of Cyprus is working to further promote the country to tourists, with golfers especially benefiting from its hot summers and cool winters.
There are plans for more golf courses to be built as well as an expansion in the number of properties that are being built.
Britons already made up a significant proportion of this island's population, with over 60,000 believed to have moved out there, and many more jetting across to holiday homes.
Property prices are between 20 and 30 per cent lower than Spain and Portugal, according to easier.com, two European locations already extremely popular with golfers.
English is widely spoken across the island and the country's entrance into the EU has boosted investment from abroad, with companies as far away as Dubai looking to get into this booming market.
