Baltic states 'great for holiday homes'
The Baltic states could be great places to invest in holiday homes in the near future as the countries are set to experience a tourism boom, according to a property expert.Arc Property said that Slovakia, Estonia and Latvia are increasingly being recognised as tourism destinations and will become even more so in 2007.
These countries' capital cities could be the next Prague, as people flock to the destinations for their eastern European holidays.
"Tourism is certainly increasing in all the eastern European capitals," said Rebecca Molinoff, managing director of Arc Property.
"As they integrate more into the EU, people are becoming more aware of them and think of them as tourist destinations in their own right."
She added: "We've seen a lot of interest from our clients – not just in the properties themselves but also in the local culture and history."
