The Alps 'offer summer breaks with a difference'
Anyone looking for a break in the sun, but one with a difference, might want to consider taking their summer holidays in Alps, one expert has stated.Paul Collins, property editor at BuyAssociation, explained that many people underestimate how good the weather is in the summer.
He said: "If people are looking for a break in the sun, but something that's just slightly different, you get the fantastic clean air in the mountains.
"You've got the beautiful fresh water lakes that are fed by the melt water from the glaciers and the snow fall."
He added that mountain regions "are fantastic" for a sunshine holiday.
Investors looking to take advantage of the dual season potential of such areas might want to consider the leaseback schemes on offer in France, he stated.
These mean that people have access to the property for a certain period of the year and the government rents it out on their behalf for the rest of the time, Mr Collins concluded.
Earlier this week, Philippa Richardson, communications manager for Virgin Trains, said that the Eurostar is an increasingly popular way for people to get from
England to destinations in
France.
