Thailand plane crash - Koh Samui flight skids into control tower

A Bangkok Airways plane has crashed on the island of Koh Samui, Thailand. The jet skidded off the runway while landing in heavy rain.
At least one person has been killed in the accident, reports the BBC. The flight was carrying 70 people when it hit an unmanned control tower as it landed at around 8am GMT (2pm local time).
It is believed that the fatality is the plane's pilot. Most of those injured were passengers, rather than crew. Some of those on board the flight from Krabi have been hospitalised with non life-threatening injuries.
