Don't miss out on 'fascinating China'

Don't miss out on 'fascinating China'
Don't miss out on 'fascinating China'China is home to a wide range of attractions and people should make sure that they do not miss out on seeing them, one expert has claimed.

Edan Harvey, product manager at The Traveller, explained that the recent success of the Terracotta Warriors exhibition at the British Museum shows the high level of interest people have in Chinese culture.

He said: "It is a fascinating country with a host of cultural attractions. It would be a shame for people to miss out on these as a result of political issues."

Mr Harvey added that he believes people should travel to learn what is going on in the world and to experience different cultures.

Historically, interaction between people from different communities across the globe has led to increased understanding and has been "a force for good", he concluded.

According to the World Tourism Organisation, almost 50 million overseas visitors arrived in China in 2006, compared to just 230,000 in 1978.
