Bulgaria named as best value holiday location

Bulgaria offers British tourists the best value for money abroad, according to a report commissioned by Teletext Holidays.
The report, “The World’s Best Value Breaks”, judged the 30 countries most frequently visited by British holidaymakers and covered a total of 18 criteria, including prices for flights to the country, food and drink.
Spain remained number one on Britons’ itineraries, but along with
Italy and
France, failed to make it into the top 20 when it came to value for money. Marketing director of Teletext Holidays Ash Makkar explained: “Traditional destinations will remain popular but we hope this report will give holidaymakers inspiration when choosing their next trip.”
Bulgaria is an up and coming destination and has something to offer everyone, from city breaks and beach holidays to a week on the slopes, reports The Observer.“Rock-bottom prices for everything from drinks to flights” mean that the former communist state beats the competition in most areas.
The report also revealed
Morocco as second best value for money, with
Marrakech being particularly good for a luxury city break.
