World's first sauna ski gondola announced in Finland

The world's first sauna ski gondola has been unveiled in Finland. The sauna gondola in the Lappish ski area of Yllas is part of Finland's longest ski lift.
The sauna gondola has been built by construction company Doppelmayr, reports
Austrian website vol.at.
Finland's unique
sauna gondola is part of a two kilometre ski lift, which also boasts a VIP gondola.
The novel invention in the
Lapland region of Finland means skiers wanting to warm up can take a 13 minute round trip in the wooden sauna gondola. Visitors change into swimming costumes in the gondola while it's in the main ski station and the cabin is then attached to the main ski lift and sets off.
The gondola is heated via electricty, charging up at the main sauna back in the ski station. Warm clothing and a fire extinguisher are always on board in case of emergencies.
The gondola ski lift is only the second of its kind in Finland, the first being constructed in 2000. It is, however, the first with a sauna attached.
