Tony and Cherie Blair spotted at Beijing Olympics as part of their extended holiday

Tony and Cherie Blair have been spotted among the crowds at the Beijing Olympics. The Blairs were photographed watching events at the Aquatic Centre as Rebecca Adlington won her second gold medal for the British Olympic team.
Gordon Brown plans only to attend the closing ceremony at the
Beijing Olympics on August 24th, but Tony and Cherie Blair have travelled out a bit earlier, reports The Telegraph. The Blairs were among the spectators at the Aquatic Centre, also known as the Water Cube, when
Rebecca Adlington took
gold in the 800 metres freestyle.
The Blairs' visit to Beijing is part of a five-week international holiday; the former prime minister and his wife flew first class to
Malaysia at the end of July and went on to stay on a
luxury island before making their way to Beijing.
After leaving
China the Blairs will enjoy a couple of days of "downtime" in Britain before jetting off to a
yacht in the Mediterranean. It is thought that this last trip will be courtesy of Bernard Arnault, the seventh richest man in the world and the owner of Moet and Krug champagnes. Arnault hosted the couple aboard his
yacht Amadeus last year.
Throughout his tenure in No.10 Downing Street Blair became "infamous" for accepting
free holidays at the homes of friends such as Cliff Richard and Robin Gibb. However, now Blair has left office he no longer has to disclose whether his holidays are gifts or paid for personally.
