Spa etiquette 'puts Britons off'
Spa etiquette 'puts Britons off'Older Britons are too intimidated to visit spas while on holiday, according to new research.

A study by Saga Holidays found that one in five British holidaymakers do not go to spas because they are scared they do not know the right etiquette.

Leading reasons included not knowing what to wear, whether they should tip the therapist and whether they should take their clothes off.

Some 23 per cent said they do not understand the treatments, while 11 per cent said that spas did not cater for men.

Andrew Goodsell, chief executive of Saga, said: "This study seems to suggest that while plenty of people are interested in going to visit a spa, many people are avoiding them because they do not understand the etiquette. We are confident that the spas we use in our holidays are welcoming and open places for all."
