Royal couple plans Welsh holiday home extension
Royal couple plans Welsh holiday home extensionHolidaymakers visiting Wales could soon get the chance to stay in a royal holiday home, according to reports.

This is because the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall are applying for planning permission to extend Llwynywormwood – their 190 acre farmhouse in Carmarthenshire.

While the couple will be based at the £1.2 million residence when they visit Wales, they are hoping to add two new holiday homes and extend the property to build a bed and breakfast, which it is hoped will boost tourism in the area.

A statement from Clarence House said: "The application outlines plans for minor refurbishment to be carried out on the existing farm house.

"Some conversion work is planned to the north range to create business meeting facilities and to enable the three-bedroom cottage to be let as part of the Duchy of Cornwall holiday cottage portfolio.

"Additionally the west range will be re-built, following the historical footprint of the structure, to provide further living accommodation."
