Mickey Mouse and friends arrested at LA Disneyland

Mickey Mouse, Cinderella, Snow White and Tinkerbell were all arrested last week. Workers, dressed as the popular characters, at Disneyland in Los Angeles were taken into custody after holding a demonstration.

The costumed workers at the Disneyland at Anaheim, Los Angeles were arrested as they protested over pay and conditions, according to The Daily Mail. "Bewildered" holidaymakers watched as 32 protesters, dressed as Mickey Mouse, Cinderella, Snow White and Tinkerbell amongst others, were led to two police vans after an hour-long march last Friday.

The contract of the workers involved in the dispute expired in February and their union claims that Disney's latest proposal has resulted in an unfair two-tier wage system and unaffordable healthcare for the workers.

Disney said of the incident at the Californian Disneyland that it is currently in discussions with the union and as yet nothing has been finalised.
