Inflatable church and beach-convent tempt sun worshipers back to the pews

An inflatable church and a beach convent have been set up in Italy. The novel steps have been taken to try and encourage churchgoers not to abandon their habits during the summer holidays.
The inflatable church and beach convent are the work of Catholic nuns and priests in
Italy hoping to boost congregation numbers during the summer holidays, reports Reuters.
The 30m long
blow-up church was due to greet its first visitors last Saturday in the
Molise region of Italy. Priests will be on hand to take confession and "there will be four of five people singing, with music about God", according to Chiara Facci from the Catholic group Sentinelli del Mattino.
Meanwhile, on the Mediterranean coast nuns from a convent near
Naples have relocated to beach cabins with an adjoining alter.
"The concept of a
beach-convent is something that is appreciated by vacationers and the nuns themselves", priest Antonio Rungi told Italian news agency ANSA.
A previous attempt to open the
inflatable church to visitors had to be abandoned in
Sardinia last month due to high winds, Reuters adds.
