Dubai to get four new theme parks

Fun-loving holidaymakers are in for a treat, as four new theme parks are planned for Dubai, announced property agent Profile Europe.
The four parks – Sea World
Dubai, Busch Gardens, Aquatica and Discovery Cove – will be built on the artificial island Palm Jebel Ali, where reclamation work is almost complete, and the first phase of construction is set to be completed by 2012.
Profile Europe acts as European agent for Dubai property developers Nakheel. Chris O’Donnell, chief executive of Nakheel, said: "Dubai has fast become one of the world’s leading tourist destinations and a key part of the strategy has been attracting world-class entertainment brands to the emirate."
This is set to be a major tourism development for Dubai, as Martin Bowen, UK sales director of Profile Europe explains: "Nakheel will also develop commercial, residential and shopping districts along with hotels and restaurants to support the construction of the theme parks."
Palm Jebel Ali will, according to the developer, eventually have a population of more than 280,000 people. Marine-life that visitors can expect to see in the parks includes killer whales, dolphins and sea lions.
