Build-up to relaxing holidays 'stresses Britons out'Most Britons feel stressed out when planning a holiday, according to new research.

A study by American Express Platinum found that 66 percent of its respondents said the build-up to their getaway caused them angst.

"Brits have been prepared to put up with travel stress because going on holiday is just so important to them," said Gail Hodges of American Express.

The stress does not stop when they get to the airport either, with 45 percent of respondents reporting to have been tense while waiting to get on their plane, Go Travel Insurance reports.

The study also revealed that Britons are more stressed out in general, with workplace pressures taking their toll on workers' nerves.

This Easter weekend is set to see a mass exodus as UK holidaymakers make the most of the bank holidays and jet abroad for a city break.
