Virgin Atlantic tops airline comfort poll
Anyone looking to travel to their next holiday in comfort should make sure that they book with Virgin Atlantic, a new survey has recommended.
The study, undertaken by TripAdvisor, found that the UK-based airline was ranked top for in-flight amenities by travellers from across the world.
Despite its recent problems, British Airways was also featured in the list, coming in third for its high standard of food, entertainment, seating and personal comfort products.
Singapore Airlines is sandwiched between the two British carriers, while Emirates and JetBlue make up the rest of the top five.
Ian Rumgay, TripAdvisor's European communications managers, said: "Virgin Atlantic are to be congratulated in coming first for amenities and knocking 2007 winner, Singapore Airlines, off the top spot."
Anyone who does decide to fly with Virgin might find that they are equally pampered on the ground.
The airline recently announced that it is to increase the number of beauty treatments it offers at its Heathrow Clubhouse.
