Air travel to and from Portugal could be severely affected by a strike on July 19th. A 24 hour strike has been planned by Portuguese airport services provider Groundforce.

Flights to and from Portugal could be hit by major delays and disruption if the proposed strike by Portuguese workers goes ahead, reports airline TAP Portugal. All flights at Portuguese airports and at those airports operating flights to Portugal would be affected, including TAP's services. TAP are, however, not expecting to cancel any flights as a result of the strike.

TAP strongly advises its customers not to travel on July 19th, unless absolutely necessary. Passengers who already have tickets can change to alternative dates, free of charge and subject to availability.

Any passengers who do wish to travel on July 19th should travel with hand luggage only, and use the online check-in service on TAP's website.

For further information, passengers should contact TAP, either through its website or by phone.
