Flybe opens 23 new summer routesLow-cost airline Flybe has made a total of 23 new flight routes available to locations both within Britain and around Europe.

Prices on all flights range from £19.99 to £59.99 and will be limited to summer 2008 between March 30th and October 25th.

Mike Rutter, chief commercial officer at Flybe, commented: "Cardiff, Inverness and the Isle of Man in particular will benefit from our committed investment into these strategic regional economies."

From Cardiff, flights will run to Glasgow twice daily, Newcastle daily and Edinburgh three times daily.

Other routes include Inverness to Birmingham, Southampton, Exeter and Manchester, and Newquay to Birmingham, Southampton, Glasgow and the Isle of Man.

Some of the European destinations will be Brussels in Belgium, Dubrovnik in southern Croatia and the cities of Paris, Rennes and Brittany in France.

The Association of British Travel Agents recently pointed out that there are a number of options available for travellers wishing to offset their personal carbon footprint.

This involves calculating your emissions and then buying credits from emission reduction projects.
