Flybe announces 'exciting' new routes

Low-cost airline Flybe has announced 34 new routes which are to start this summer.
The new services will depart from a number of regional airports across
England,
Scotland and
Northern Ireland, to a variety of destinations in the UK and mainland Europe.
Mike Rutter, chief commercial officer at Flybe, said that the new routes would provide travellers with access to a range of "exciting destinations".
The new flights, set to begin this summer, include services from Newcastle to Rennes, Glasgow to La Rochelle, Exeter to Dubrovnik and Gatwick to Aberdeen.
Flybe will also operate services from Dundee to Birmingham and Belfast as part of a franchise agreement with Loganair.
Last month, budget airline Ryanair announced it is to offer domestic flights in
France and
Germany.
According to Peter Sherrard, spokesperson for Ryanair, the new routes will offer large savings for anyone wishing to travel within the two countries.
The airline will provide flights between Marseille and Paris, as well as Frankfurt and Berlin.
