BA & Qantas offer £215 Ashes flights to Australia

British Airways (BA) and Qantas are offering special Ashes flights to Australia for £215. The special fare is being offered in honour of Britain winning the second Ashes test against Australia yesterday.
The fare is based on the first innings scores, while the number of seats available is determined by the amount of runs scored by the opposing team. Likely to appeal to those renting
holiday homes in Australia, the special fare is available today on ba.com and qantas.com.
Since Australia were all out for 215 in their first innings after
England's 425 on Saturday, both BA and Qantas are selling 425 flights to
Sydney for £215. Flights typically cost £730.
"Andrew Strauss and the England cricket team have done us proud," said BA's Simon Brooks. "As a result we're offering this once in a lifetime promotion to fly to the other side of the world for £215."
The offer is subject to availability. BA ran a similar promotion in 2005, when the airline offered 367 seats at £373 when Australia scored 367 runs for 373 against England in the final Ashes test - flights sold out within 30 minutes.
