BA launch booking system with new Apple iPhone

British Airways (BA) is letting passengers book flights using the new Apple iPhone. BA claims it is the first airline to offer a booking service using the Apple iPhone 3G.
BA passengers will be able to book their flights, access real-time arrival and departure information and view the BA timetable. BA's Paul Colby said: "The iPhone is revolutionising mobile communications and allows us to provide instant access to arrivals and departures information which will enhance the experience of travelling with BA.
"We're always seeking to improve the service our customers enjoy by the smart use of innovative technology, and the iPhone is a fantastic way to achieve this."
Users will need to download a free application from iTunes. BA passengers will then be able to access up-to-the-minute flight information, save favourite flights to keep an eye on, view the timetable for any route on any given day, and access BA's website where they can book flights and check-in online.
