Overseas golfing holidays enjoy strong support
There is a growing demand for holiday accommodation close to golf courses as more holidaymakers opt to spend their break on the greens.Property expert Carly Barnes, managing director of international property company LLB, believes that golf properties are becoming an ideal growth area for those within the holiday letting sector, especially as the resorts offer more than just luring fairways.
Anyone looking to purchase a golf property should remember to focus on climate, accessibility as well as the range of local amenities on offer to holidaymakers in order to maximise rental yields.
Ms Barnes explained: "The attractiveness of golf destinations is enhanced by the fact that the newest golf developments come with a broad range of other amenities, including often tennis courts and a vibrant social scene at the clubhouse. The choices are almost unlimited in terms of price, location, and extra amenities."
She added that new developments in Eastern Europe resorts are particularly affordable and attractive to golfers looking to take advantage of the growing number of cheap flights available from airports throughout the UK.
