Holiday home hotspots for 2007 predicted
Holiday home hotspots for 2007 predictedAs 2006 draws to an end, a leading property company has made predictions forecasting future holiday home hotspots going into the new year.

According to Assetz, property markets in Poland, the UK, Cyprus, Spain and France will hot up.

While markets in areas such as Bulgaria and Croatia are hotting up, Assetz predicts there will be a return to traditional foreign property investments in France and the UK.

The established infrastructure, chic culture and laid-back lifestyle in many areas of France will see the country continue as a high quality holiday home destination, while Cyprus is also set to see a strong 2007, according to Assetz.

There will also be a return to Spain by British holiday home buyers, with competition hotting up between domestic holiday home buyers in the popular country.

However, Stuart Law of Assetz suggested that many UK investors may stay close to home when buying property, with the British housing market performing so well.

He said: "There has been a slight lowering in the rate of growth in many countries during 2006 and the UK is the first to bounce, but I suspect many others will follow next year including France, Spain and Bulgaria.

"With the UK performing so well, many investors will be opting for the low-risk approach and keeping their money in UK property, now it offers strong returns that can compete on the international stage."
