Budapest offers good investment potential
Budapest offers good investment potentialBuy-to-let and holiday rental investors should consider the up-and-coming market in Budapest, claims a leading real estate company.

Dave Goedhals from Gateway Properties believes that classic and traditional Hungarian apartments in the heart of Budapest are set to experience strong returns, especially as the country continues to benefit from membership of the European Union.

One way that landlords can maximise yields is to purchase properties located in the downtown area of the city and opt for properties that have a "classic" feel.

"If you compare it to a new development, if you are buying a new apartment, you buy the apartment straight to let out but you do not have that special vibe that a classic apartment has," explained Mr Goedhals.

There is also a growing number of affordable flights to central and eastern European destinations including Budapest and this is helping to boost tourism as well as increasing potential returns for people operating holiday lets in the region.
