Chilean tourism industry lures UK holidaymakers
UK investors may want to consider buying holiday homes in Chile in the near future, as the South American country is hoping to attract more British holidaymakers.Tourism officials in Chile are launching a campaign, primarily targetted at attracting UK residents to visit the country.
A wide range of activities, including public relations campaigns, educational visits for the press, travel agents and tour operators, as well as public relations campaigns, has been planned for the next few years.
Pablo Moll, who has just been appointed the new director of Corporacio Turistica de Chile, said: "We are launching the first ever media and awareness campaign in the UK as we believe British travellers are tailor-made to enjoy Chile.
"Our campaign will be aimed at persuading the more affluent UK travellers that Chile is the best long-haul destination all the year round."
