'Book now for cheap holidays'
December is the cheapest time to book your summer holiday, according to low cost airline easyJet.Marianne West, consumer PR executive for the company said: "It isn't always feasible for everyone but you could get something as cheap as [return] flights for a family of four for under £150 if it's the right day and the right time and you book early enough."
And she said a similar principle applied for winter holidays, with the best deals coming on to the market around July.
She also said that being flexible about what day of the week you travel you could save even more money, suggesting that people were even willing to lose a night of their holiday if it meant saving around £500.
Travel Mole reported that Monday January 7th was expected to be the most popular day of the year to book a summer holiday.
