“Perfect Location!” Mignon House is indeed in the most perfect location in the city of Bath. Adjacent to the Abbey, the Roman Baths, Pump Rooms, Sally Lunns and importantly for self-catering Marks and Spencer’s food hall! Easy walking distance from/to the railway and bus stations, shopping centre, fashion museum, Pulteney Bridge etc. The house itself has amazingly comfortable beds and a well equipped kitchen a spacious lounge and is ideal for big family or group of friends.

“Slightly quirky and in the middle of everywhere!” We were welcomed by Bernd and given a tour of the property and instructions regarding the use of all things electrical that needed explaining including the WiFi, which is very strong and consistent, although not surprisingly, there is little phone signal. The property is in good order and clean enough although not spotless. It has an eclectic mix of furniture, crockery and cutlery but all do their job perfectly well and we lacked nothing. If we had needed anything, I know we could have asked. The kitchen area is not large but has all you could need; laid out in a unique way to make best use of the open plan space. There is a good selection of books, DVDs and board games in the property. The shower room is small but did it's job perfectly well. Sleeping arrangements suited us fine. We used the double bed, bunks and the bed settee in the lounge. We are four adults-parents and two grown up children. The layout 'feels' good-relaxed and calm. Even though you are situated in the owner's garden we still felt able to use it as ours-sitting out and wandering round the flowers, fishpond and small orchard. We never felt like we were intruding and although Bernd popped in a couple of times to check we were ok we didn't ever feel as though we were being scrutinised. Barrington is picture postcard and Barrington Hall is a two minute walk away with public footpaths running around it-relaxing walking. The pub is easy to walk to and friendly, the food mid priced and very tasty. We had to drive around 45 mins to get to the regular tourist destinations such as Cheddar gorge and Wells. Slightly less to get to the coast-Lyme Regis and Charmouth. Ilminster for supplies took about 10 mins. We all had a lovely time and the barn suited us nicely. Thank you,Bernd and Janet.

“Great Location!” Great location and perfect for a large family. There were seven of us and we loved having the big living room to lounge. The rooms were clean and the house is very nice. We loved our stay on plan on coming back and staying at the Tylney House again.
