“Miss” The best cottage I've stayed in. Great location, well equipped, well designed and decorated. From the outside looks small, but a surprise inside, with a big garden, great to relax out in the sun. Some great restaurants in Ludlow and can recommend a day at Ludlow races. If we visit Ludlow again this cottage would be top of our list. Thanks Judy for a great stay

“One of the nicest cottages we've stayed in” This is a lovely cottage that provides just about everything you could possibly need. Everything really has been put together with the convenience and comfort of the guest in mind. The welcome package from the owner was much appreciated. We all agreed we'd love to come back and use this as a base to explore further afield in Shropshire and not just Shrewsbury which is 15-20 minutes drive away.

“Cosy cottage” We had a lovely long weekend at the cottage. We found it easily due to clear directions from Ron & Su who met us at the cottage in order to show us around and help with local information. The cottage was lovely and warm as the wood burner was going for us. We were left with bread, milk, fresh eggs and a vase of flowers as well as plenty of wood for our stay. The cottage is beautifully clean and has everything you need in it. It has a well equipped kitchen. There is a TV/DVD player which we used in the evenings and also used it as a radio via the free view radio stations. The bed was really comfortable and it’s so quiet we slept really well! There are plenty of walks from the doorstep and within short car rides. There are lots of historical properties and sites within the local area so plenty to see and do. Our two labradors loved their holiday too! I’m sure we’ll be back! The road from Harley to the cottage was flooded when we were there but we were able to drive our Zafira through slowly without any problems.

“Lovely cottages, among the best we've stayed in” We've stayed in quite a few holiday cottages in England and France and these are easily amongst the best. We've been coming back regularly for five or six years mostly to Granary cottage and lately to the Long Barn. They are both very well equiped, tastefully decorated, clean, cosy, warm and surrounded by gorgeous countryside with a splendid view of Wenlock Edge. The owners are a lovely couple who have become friends over the years. Please note that the nearest town (Much Wenlock) is about 5 miles away so own transport is a must.

“Luxurious, Cute and Stress Free” This beautiful cottage/barn conversion is incredibly aesthetically pleasing, the furniture and decor is lovely, all the rooms are big and the living/dining area provides plenty of space for large groups! The kitchen was so well equipped too with all you need. The Hot Tub was huge! Could fit a large group and the features of it were excellent, a massive massive plus about this property. It also had a pool table too which was great for some social games together. Wendy and Keith were very helpful and welcoming and I honestly think the rental is so well run! Can’t wait to return in future.

“I want to live at the Sambrook Manor Cottages” This was just an unbelievable experience. Beautiful place, beautiful weather and the most genuinely kind people we could have encountered. We were in town from the states for a wedding and this was our first time in Shropshire and I have to say, it was the highlight of our two week trip in the UK. Great location for day trips and an opportunity to see a nice slice of English life away from the big cities.

“Beautiful Country Cottage” We spent Christmas at this wonderful little cottage in Shropshire. We stay in a number of cottages per year and have never stayed at a cottage that is so well decked out. The house was completely liveable from outset. We cooked a full 3 course Christmas lunch with ease in the cottage. Rooms are spacious and well decorated. The house is well located only 5 mins from the major hub of Church Stretton, but isolated enough to feel like you are well in the countryside. Pub across the road is a great place for a quick pint after a day walking or exploring. Highly recommended - this place wont disappoint.

“Relax in Comfort” This was out second visit to Highgrove Barns - we had spent a 5 day break there the previous spring and were keen to return to what we had experienced as a fabulous holiday facility. The setting is excellent - in what was formerly a farm building in a farm yard. The renovation into first class holiday accommodation has been done with taste and an eye to providing comfort and quality. Underfloor heating, decent sized cooking and washing up facilities, a proper bed room with a good size en-suite give enough room to spread out and make yourselves at home. Nothing seems skimped or cheap and cheerful. The location too is good: within walking distance of Craven Arms where there is a decent range of shops offering high standard local produce. In the other direction there is a beer lover's paradise with a local Brewery [Woods]with an on site pub which provides a range of spectacularly hoppy , yet well balanced ales. Try Parish or Shropshire Lass. There is an arrangement with a local visiting chef [Simon] who delivers absolutely top drawer meals. The standard is equivalent to that of an award winning restaurant - the prices are low and the combination is mouthwatering in terms of both food quality and value for money. The prices for what you get in the way of facilities represent excellent value for money -- we are accustomed to paying more for less elsewhere. Were it not for the fact that we live in the North of Scotland, we would be there even more than we are. We have stayed in dozens of self catering places in Scotland and throughout England. Highgrove has seldom been equalled and certainly never surpassed. Colin Keenan, Aberdeenshire, Scotland
