“Perfect in every way! Even our cat had a ball!” Sandytoes cabin is a cosy, comfortable and welcoming home from home located in Sandyhills Holiday Village. The beach is minutes away and it is perfectly situated for trips to lots of different towns and attractions. Castle Douglas has lots of independent retailers and places to eat! Dumfries is great for shopping. Holly, the owner , is so kind and helpful! We brought our cat with us and Holly left a pack of Dreamies for her. Lovely little touches all round the cabin, which is beautiful! Everything you could possibly want or need in a holiday home is there. The badgers are so entertaining too! We loved our "badgerwatch" every night! They love croissants and peanut butter , by the way! This was the perfect break for our wee family with very comfortable accommodation. Loved it so much we booked to come back in 3 weeks time! Thanks, Holly!

“Well-Appointed Cottage in a Fantastic Location” We visited the cottage during the late August Bank Holiday. It was our first trip away post-Covid and much needed. The cottage is spacious and has every home comfort you would wish for, including wi-fi that works perfectly. What really sets this cottage apart though, is its location. It is in the midst of beautiful countryside, and has views over rolling hills to the Cuillin. It is ideally situated in the middle of the island to be a centre for touring and the drive around the Trotternish peninsular is amazing – one highlight was the Flora Macdonald memorial in a beautiful setting. Nevertheless the restaurants of Portree are just a four-mile drive away. We will return.

“Refreshed and recharged...” Valasay really is a home from home. The weather may not have been kind - wet, windy, cold - but anne Ryan's welcome was extremely warm, the cottage was inviting and comfortable and the scenery was breathtaking. Ever-helpful, Anne had provided a map of places to visit on my drive from the airport...and I was greeted by a blazing fire and homecade cake on my arrival. Such a thoughtful touch. I was staying alone, but the house would be perfect for a family of 4. All mod-cons (inc dishwasher and washer/dryer)...super-comfy beds, the crispest bedsheets and the whitest softest bath towels and the most efficient radiator heating in addition to the coal fire. Local artwork decorates the walls and there's a plentiful supply of books and info about the islands to keep you busy at the end of the day. Great location as a base to get out and about to see the rest of the islands too. I only had a long weekend here, but will definitely be back for a longer visit to this magical place.

“A holiday to remember!” We came to stay in Lochleven Seafood Cottage in april. There were ten of us staying, and we all instantly fell in love with the cottage as soon as we stepped inside. It was really clean and tidy, and well kept. The views of the loch were outstanding from the living room, and the bedrooms were very comfortable. The cottage was very well equipped, so there's no need to bring anything extra. The location of the cottage is also ideal, about twenty minute's drive from Glencoe and Fort William. We were able to travel to somewhere different everyday, but also enjoy some lovely walks and mountain treks just outside the cottage. The service for the cottage was also incredible - I texted the supervisors about a blocked drain and they instantly sent someone within the same morning. All in all a great holiday!

“Fantastic” This is the second time we have stayed in 21, Shoregate, Crail. Even two years on everything is just as lovely. I have never slept in a more comfortable bed and I even ordered the pillows on return as unfortunately we couldn't get them in the suitcase!!! Everything is so clean and I think this is down to Karen the housekeeper. Wonderful position overlooking the harbour - we had lovely weather which was such a bonus. The TV had a problem while we were there and within a few days we had a brand new one arranged by the owner, Nina. We have travelled to many places and this has to be one of our favourite.!! J

“Peace and Quiet” The owner is very friendly and welcoming (incl gifts!). The house is spotlessly clean. The bed is very comfortable, All you could need in the kitchen. Great views from the conservatory and from the covered decking. Background storage heating would have been an advantage (electric panel heaters and oil filled radiators only).

“Spacious, comfortable and convenient” I stayed at Dingieshowe Cottage during Easter 2015. The cottage was very spacious, comfortable and well equipped for my wife and I and our 2 young sons. We had everything we needed on hand to make sure our stay was as comfortable as possible. The property is very well managed and in very good condition. It was also helpful to have a garden and parking facilities. The cottage is located 100 yards from the Glazert hotel - and close to shops. All in all a great and comfortable base for exploring the surrounding area.

“Fantastic” One Manish is true getaway destination. Surrounded by sea and sheep this is truly one of the most peaceful places in the UK. We stayed here with 3 children and grandparents and, without fail, every single person loved this place. The house is really nicely tucked away overlooking the water with beautiful views towards Skye. Inside the cottage there's a great stove and range although neither were needed because the underfloor heating was magic. Rooms are all extremely comfortable and well presented and facilities are second to none. This is a really warm and welcoming place to relax and switch off. On Harris there are magnificent beaches, mountains and wildlife in abundance. Lots of activities including watersports(boogie boarding at Luskentyre is brilliant), walking, fishing(freshwater and sea) and coffee shops(try Skoon art cafe - really nice). Tarbert Stores is also a great stop if you need anything DIY and even if you don't it's well worth a visit if you're in Tarbert. Alternatively you could quite happily stay at One Manish and do absolutely nothing but relax and look out the window.

“A great base for your Skye getaway” This accomodation is very well located for getting around all the activities on Skye and is less than 15 minutes drive from Portree. The layout of the apartment is really well considered and the view across the loch is lovely. There were no negative aspects to the apartment and I would recommend this as a good choice for a holiday on Skye.

“Lovely Relaxing Holiday” After a long drive, arriving at Heatherfield was well worth the journey. The cottage was immaculate and very well presented. We stayed with grandparents and our 1 year old son and there was more than enough space for everyone. The cottage offers a games room, for those rainy days, 3 very spacious bedrooms, a lovely kitchen/dining area with a washing machine and tumble dryer, and a large living room with amazing views across to Portree. The cottage is perfectly situated with a short drive to all tourist attractions on the isle. Unfortunately the weather was against us for the first few days of our holiday which restricted us, particularly with the baby. although we were only a short drive from Portree, we were unable to walk along the main road as there were no footpaths. Apart from this small detail, we could not have been happier with our stay at Heatherfield, it was just like a home from home...with the most beautiful views. We will most definitely be back to Heatherfield with the family.

“A truly amazing and chilled place to stay” We really enjoyed our stay at The Retreat. Lisa, Jamie and Pamela made us feel extremely welcome. The cottage is set in beautiful countryside and even although it is only a short distance from Perth you really feel away from it all. The cottage itself is very well kitted out and Lisa, Jamie and Pamela create a home from home that allows you to relax. The large secluded garden allows you to take in the breathtaking landscape. There are great walks on the doorstep and is ideally located for anyone wanting to explore the area. The Eco credentials of the cottage are impressive and the cottage is a lovely place to chill. We would definitely recommend The Retreat to others and we'll definitely be back.

“Well equipped house with lovely view.” We have stayed in Mol Ban before and always wanted to return. Located on the east coast of Harris the house overlooks a rocky bay. We had great weather and revisited many beaches on the west coast. The house is very clean and warm and well equipped. Would love to return.

“Cottage” Had a lovely stay in the cottage, great base to explore the area. Very comfortable and the place has everything you need. Didn't find it a problem parking and the location has the beach and shops/places to eat, only a couple of minutes walk away. We enjoyed being able to relax at night, decent size TV with free view and comfortable furniture. As I said, everything you need for a break away and correspondence with the owner was good. Would definitely recommend the place to anyone wishing to visit the area.

“Excellent cottage!” We stayed at Roe Deer Cottage for 4 nights and wished we could have stayed for longer. The location is stunning and we had a different scenic view from every window. The cottage is so clean and we felt 'at home' straight away. Of particular note, is the attention to detail from the locally made toiletries to the lovely welcoming goodies. We would definitely recommend Roe Deer Cottage to others and look forward to returning when we are next in the Scottish Highlands.
