“Amazing views and lovely house” These are surely some of the best views in St Andrews from both front and back of the house. The house is clean, well equipped and stylish and very comfortable. It is only a short walk to the shops, restaurants and town centre (5-10mins if that) so the location is excellent. East sands is closest but West sands are only 10-15mins walk along the seafront. Open plan nature of the first floor sitting and kitchen area is great. St Andrews is a great location and there is more to it than just the golf!

“Couldn’t wish for anything more!” Perfect holiday cottage - very clean and comfortable, equipped with everything you need plus some stylish decorating touches. Only a 20 minute walk from town centre (with good bus and taxi services if required). Clear arrival instructions from Caroline and the Welcome Pack was the icing on the cake. We love the area and will definitely be back!

“Brilliant stay” We've had a great stay in Ayr. The flat is amazing: big, airy, light and beautifully fitted. View to the sea at the front and view over the ball green at the back. The children loved it too and access to a little garden/courtyard was great for them. Hope they'll have us back next year!

“Lovely Cottage” This is a fantastic little cottage. We loved the mezzanine bedroom overlooking the living area. Well equipped and kept beautifully clean. The owner greeted us on arrival and offered us a warm welcome. It was an ideal base to explore Harris and with the ferry literally 2 mins away, it's ideal to visit the islands. Would definitely recommend this cottage.

“Excellent house” Just spent a week at this excellent and well appointed house and cannot recommend it highly enough. Well furnished and equipped and only a few yards from the beach and harbour, the house is a perfect base for exploring this interesting and scenic coastline. Sarah, the house manager, gave us a great welcome and lots of information on places to eat and visit. Highly recommended and we will definitely be back.

“My best ever self-catering experience” I loved, loved, loved the Grand Marine apartment, which I had booked for myself to celebrate my retirement after 35 years of teaching. I had never been to Bute before, but wanted an island break where I could both relax "at home" and explore the area. Grand Marine alowed me to do both. The apartment is very, very comfortable with all the amenities one would expect and more and all decorated in a light and fresh manner. Not surprisingly, I spent a lot of time sitting by the living room windows looking at the exceptional views. Although the weather during my stay was mixed, it was simply wonderful to be able to watch the water and sky change, the ferry come in and out...... The flat also was an excellent base for visiting all the many attractions of Bute, with Mount Stuart and seal-watching at Scalpsie Bay particular highlights. Nothing was very far away or particularly difficult to find or get to. Yes, Grand Marine is on the second floor, but worth every step. I've stayed in several self-catering flats and houses before, but this is very definitely my favourite - a wonderful start to my retirement Thank you so much for having me!

“Riverside cottage” This cottage is ideally situated on a quiet street within walking distance of Inverness castle and all other amenities. It has everything you require, and Gregor the owner is on hand to help if required. We would definitely recommend this cottage.

“The Retreat on Paradise Lane” Stayed here as working in Elgin and it proved to be a great choice. The house is clean, warm and quiet. The wifi works easily and the shower is great. The bed is so comfy I slept for 9 hours each night! There is a parking space at the front of the house off the road. The beach is not far away and is great to run or walk along stretching 2 and a half miles to the west. Morag is close by and very helpful. The dishwasher, washing machine and cooker all work well although if you are looking to eat out there are options close by too.

“Fantastic apartment with charming helpful hosts” This is our second time staying in the Old Surgery and we love this charming spotlessly clean well equipped apartment . The beds were extremely comfortable and there were lots of little touches to make use feel welcome.The apartment is in a great location within walking distance to everything including bars and restaurants. I left some of my personal items within the apartment and when I contacted the owners Trish and Bruce they very kindly posted my belongs back to me. Thank you so much.

“Gorgeous little cottage !” Just had a perfect stay in this lovely cosy cottage . It was spotlessly clean and very well equipped with everything needed . On the doorstep are lots of shops and restaurants and only a short drive to the coast . We shall hopefully be back next year !
