“Lemon Tree is an idyllic spot of tranquility, relax to the max!” The cottage itself has everything you could need, and a most generous welcome pack that sets you up on what will be a gorgeous week. Outside then just has all you could ask for if you were in a five star resort, private pool, hot tub and fabulous viewing barbie area. Find your own little spot to read , sunbathe, have breakfast etc! While we happily spend all day without leaving the cottage if you feel like the beach Barril beach 20 mins drive away is gorgeous, we loved it. Also we drove down to the Algarve only about hour half on the motorway to the coast to the famous lighthouses which was fab to do and then have lazy day the next in Lemon Tree. Car hire essential, and the town is 3 miles away so be organised and shop for what you need so not in and out of car to shop! Cottage is only 20 miles from airport so very handy, you dont lose a day travelling, your holiday feels longer.

Kindness, and Lovely villa

We arrived very late as we where arriving by car all the way from Sweden, Maria was very kind to buy groceries for our dinner and breakfast since all the stores would close on our arrival, that was heaven!!:) And much appreciated. SHe showed us the house around, the house have all you need in order to feel comfortable and enjoy, our children loved playing outside and discover the surroundings, 7 min drive To São Brass and 20 to Faro city, makes a perfect spot for families and couples who love living in the country side but at the same time get access to all the amenities that Faro can offer. Lemon tree cottage with private pool and hot tub
Absolutely ideal place to get away and recharge the batteries

Lemon Tree Cottage is THE place to go if you want to get away and give your batteries a much needed recharge. The cottage itself is well presented, well furnished with regard to furniture and has pretty much all of the 'white' electricals that you and a partner could possibly want on a two week holiday. The TV has standard UK Freeview channels for those who require it but I can only genuinely confirm that this it works for BBC news at 10pm (it's the only time we had the TV on and that was only to find out what was happening on the rest of the planet). WiFi is available for guest use of email and minimal surfing (if you want to stream SkyGo then I would suggest that you've missed the point of coming here). The pool, which every time we have come has been crystal clear, and sunbathing area are clean and tidy and the hot tub has always been a toe tingling 40 degs Centigrade. The BBQ and viewing area are also superbly presented. The cottage itself is located in the hills approx 5 miles from the local town of Sao Bras and approx 20 miles from Faro airport which means that although not a necessity (there is a good taxi service at both locations) I would recommend a hire car. Sao Bras has at least 3 Supermarket chains (Lidl being 1) where you can buy pretty much anything you require if you want to do the self catering aspect and also many varied restaurants that are good value. There are numerous bars and cafes but to be honest I can't comment on them as we never left the cottage of an evening. The cottage owners, Mags and Ian, are extremely friendly, will be as sociable or as invisible as you require and always ensure that any problems are dealt with as quickly and as painlessly as possible. The 'get you in' pack of food and drink that they provide is superb and much appreciated.The only reason I have not recommended the cottage for those with young children is the swimming pool and the dangers associated. The cottage itself is gated at both entry/exit to the cottage itself and also the entry/exit to the steps for the viewing area thus providing a sealed environment. To finish, the biggest compliment I can pay Mags and Ian and their cottage is that it pains me to write this review as the more people that read it the more chance there is they'll want to come, and the harder it will be for me to re-book next year. … see more
