“This is a home away from home and right on the water.” The Green Cottage is a genuine haven. Everything you need is already there, and if not, Pandora and Gary will supply it or tell you where you can find it. The kitchen is fully equipped for eating in, including sharp knives, and Pandora considerately had on hand freshly ground coffee, cream, yogurt, fruit, and oatmeal so that we enjoyed our first morning on the bay without having to go out. The cottage is very comfortable and beautifully furnished; everywhere you look there is something pretty and unique on a wall or on a table. Thoughtfully maintained and in immaculate condition, it is just right for two, but another room has a daybed in it should you need it. The bathroom has extra towels and mats, and the kitchen has linens, hot pads, paper towels--again, everything you need. You will be tempted to spend all of your time at the cottage. A helpful library about the area informs you of the local wildlife, attractions, and history. Naps in the comfortable king bed with Pandora's designer quality quilt are restful and restorative. A huge collection of DVDs and reading books are an entertainment alternative in the evenings. The patio is right on the water and gives you a lovely view of the dunes and the small towns of Baywood Park and Morro Bay. Ever-changing tides and a variety of birds will amuse you for long periods of time, and you will be baffled trying to capture the light on the water and dunes with your camera. At night in the quiet of the dead end street, the towns softly glow across the water. But there are many things to do there, so you will venture forth. We rode our bikes, walked some of the area's many trails, played golf at the nearby Sea Pines Resort executive course, shopped at the surprisingly bountiful local farmer's market, and toured some of the abundant art galleries featuring a rich array of local artists. Although we preferred to eat most meals at the cottage, we did love the fish and chips at Lil Hut in Morro Bay for lunch, and there are many good restaurants within a short drive. Pandora, Gary, and the annotated notebooks in the cottage can provide you with many more options for activity and dining. Of course we are hesitant to rave on and on since the cottage is increasingly booked, but we will take our chances on getting a week's reservation there again next year and the next. The cottage has a tranquil and embracing spirit that we need to experience again.

“Wonderful Vacation Home” We had a great week at this terrific house. There's so much to do in the area (hiking in Montana de Oro, kayaking & stand up paddle boarding in Morro Bay, wine tasting in SLO and Paso), but it was always nice to come back to this home to relax for a while. The house has plenty of room for a large group or just a family to spread out and enjoy the surroundings. Denise wasn't kidding about the deer, they were in the front yard when we arrived and made appearances almost every day of our stay. The home was very clean, well-stocked and everything was in excellent working order. The views of the ocean, bay and "rock" were spectacular, and the neighborhood was very peaceful and quiet. Thanks Denise!
