The actress is interested in buying a Tuscany villa.

Knightley was spotted in Tuscany over the summer, according to The Sunday Times. The Pirates of the Caribbean star is now believed to be looking at Italy villas.

A source told the paper that Knightley is particularly interested in properties in Tuscany. Her "hunting ground" centres on Barga in the Garfagnana valley.

If she buys a villa in Italy, Knightley will add to her property portfolio. The 24 year old also took her pick of the London apartments and owns a £1.5m flat in Mayfair.

The airline will stop its services to Malaga and Alicante in the coming weeks.

Owners of Malaga apartments and Alicante villas should be aware of the changes to bmibaby's Manchester operations. Both services have run from the city since 2003, according to The Manchester Evening News.

The Manchester-Malaga service will cease on November 14, while the Alicante route will end the following day. A spokeswoman for bmibaby told the paper that there are no plans to relaunch the services in summer 2010. The carrier says that all passengers due to travel on the axed services have been contacted and offered a full refund.

Manchester Airport's Andrew Harrison reassured travellers that it is still possible to reach the two destinations from the hub. Jet2.com, easyJet, Thomson, Thomas Cook and Monarch all operate from Manchester to Alicante and Malaga, he said.

bmibaby says that it remains committed to Manchester and "will continue to offer flights to exciting European destinations from the airport". The airline has recently added extra flights to Prague from the airport. New bmibaby routes from Manchester to Lourdes and Faro will also start next summer.

The Scottish resort has struggled in previous years but is now under new ownership.

The White Corries centre has suffered in recent years due to poor snowfall, explains The Daily Mail. However, the new owner - Andy Meldrum - is confident he can turn around the resort's fortune and make it a popular option for ski holidays .

Essential maintenance has started at the centre in preparation for its opening in January. In the long term, Meldrum plans to improve the existing facilities at the Glencoe resort. The resort's cafe is also set to reopen in time for the ski season.

The new owner is enthusiastic about the coming months: "We have an uphill task ahead of us but with the support of the local community, ski clubs, ski patrol and the general public, we are certain that we can not only safeguard the future of the resort, but improve and develop its facilities."

Ski holidays in Scotland are liable to suffer from the "vagaries" of the local climate and with this in mind snow machines could be installed at White Corries. Meldrum also hopes to transform White Corries into a dual season resort. Mountain bike trails, an adventure playpark, a dry ski slope and archery facilities could all be created in time for summer 2010.

The resort manager, Bobby Munroe, echoed Meldrum's confidence: "This is really great news for Glencoe snowsports enthusiasts, for Scottish skiing and for local employment. We've got a lot of work to do, but we're all up for the challenge."

Ryanair has announced four new services to the region.

Ryanair's new Bordeaux routes will start operating on December 17. The airline estimates that its new routes will bring 200,000 passengers to the area per year, benefitting owners of Bordeaux apartments.

The Ryanair Bordeaux services will open up new holidaymaker markets. Passengers will be able to get Ryanair flights to Bordeaux from Brussels (Charleroi), Edinburgh, Bologna and Porto.

Ryanair's Ken O'Toole said: "Ryanair's partnership with Bordeaux will create a flood of new tourists...to the region and we expect to carry 200,000 passengers in the first year."

To celebrate its new Bordeaux routes, Ryanair has released one million tickets for 15 euros. These fares are available for travel across Europe in November and December.

The former Take That singer wants to move to Los Angeles to be with his girlfriend Ayda Field.

Robbie paid in the region of £8.5m for Compton Bassett House in February, according to The Sun. But the singer has dropped the asking price for a quick sale so he can relocate to Los Angeles before Christmas.

The Wiltshire mansion has a helicopter hangar, temples and fountains. Robbie described the seven bedroom property as an "impulse buy", but he envisaged keeping it for a few more years.

However, things have changed, a source told the paper. "Being settled back in the States quickly with Ayda is more important to him. He's already got a few people interested in the mansion."

Compton Basset House is a costly property to run, Robbie said. "I can't really afford to keep it. Maintenance is a lot." The mansion even has its own electricity substation.

Overseas holidaymakers may be able to get flights to Carlisle Airport from next year.

The owners of Carlisle Airport are currently investing approximately £25m in developing the base, reports The Westmorland Gazette. The airport is presently used by light aircraft, but the development could see owners of Lake District cottages benefitting from larger flights from overseas and within the UK.

Andy Judge, the airport's director, said: "We need to have a proper functioning airport to say that the region...is ready for business and to support the region as a whole. Once we have improved the facilities and brought in the airlines, then we shall be ready for bringing in passenger routes."

New flights would make Cumbria holidays a more viable option for the overseas market, Judge added. The improvements could link the region to destinations such as London, Paris and Amsterdam, all major hubs for connecting international flights.

Cumbria's Chamber of Commerce is also enthusiastic about the developments. The organisation's Rob Johnston said: "The reason is not about the volume of passengers, it is the statement that Cumbria is on the map and is connected. We have got a great offer and the airport helps us make that offer more accessible." The improvement works at Carlisle Airport will begin next year.

Meanwhile, Watson is trying to have a conventional life in the US. "Emma is finding it tough to combine a normal life with her studies," the source added. "[She} has decided she will only act and model during her holidays or when it is necessary. She wants as near a normal life as possible."

Those needing to submit tax returns should do so by hand to ensure they arrive on time.

The tax return deadline is still October 31 for those submitting them by post, reports The Times. A £100 fine will be issued to those who submit late tax returns.

As a result of the problems, HMRC is advising people to submit their tax returns online. The deadline for this is January 31 2010.

However, authorities acknowledge that many prefer to file their returns by post. Therefore, HMRC will be lenient with taxpayers who can prove that their tax returns were delayed by the postal system problems. A spokesman for HMRC said: "Anyone missing the deadline purely because of the circumstances will almost certainly not attract a penalty."

Taxpayers who have yet to submit their details should do so using recorded delivery if it is not possible to deliver in person. Nevertheless, there are concerns that those who have already posted their tax returns may have done so using the standard delivery and not have proof of the date it was sent.

Holiday home owners who rent their property out to paying guests need to ensure their tax return arrives safely. Owners should let HMRC know of any income generated through rental activity.

M&S will open a shop in Marbella in November.

M&S has over 300 stores overseas but pulled out of mainland Spain eight years ago, reports The Daily Telegraph. However, from next month holidaymakers renting Marbella apartments will be able to stock up on M&S goods.

The Costa del Sol M&S shop will stock clothing, homeware, biscuits and cakes. Fresh food will not be available.

Until now, M&S's Spanish presence has been limited to franchises on the Canary Islands. Tourists staying in Gran Canaria apartments have a choice of three M&S shops and there is also one on Tenerife.

The British territory of Gibraltar also has one. M&S sold its nine shops on the Spanish mainland in 2001 to the El Corte Ingles retail chain.

Foreign exchange specialist Moneycorp told Homes Overseas that it has seen enquiries regarding Brazilian property investment soar by over 57 per cent. Moneycorp puts the increased interest in Brazil apartments down to the World Cup and Olympics effect.

In response to the increased demand from investors in Brazil's currency, Moneycorp has launched the Brazilian Real Service. The service fixes the rate of exchange, so investors know exactly how many reals they will be getting. The time between transfer and receipt of funds is also reduced.

Moneycorp's Dean Roe said: "At a time when people are trying to make the most of their investments, it is vital that they take some simple steps to ensure they are not wasting their cash. Our Brazilian service removes all of the complications that can arise when transferring money to Brazil."

Brazil will be the first South American country to host the Olympics. The country's government is expected to make considerable investments in its infrastructure and tourist facilities to ensure long term benefits for Rio and Brazil.
