In the south of the region, the Ardèche offers stunning landscape and a warm climate, playing host to a range of outdoor activities. The region remains one of the most scenic in France, with unspoilt wooded areas covering much of the countryside. The Beaujolais vineyards wind away to the north, and local delicacies include the area’s cheese and nougat.
