Ryanair boost for owners of Canary apartments
Ryanair boost for owners of Canary apartments

Ryanair has announced 39 new routes to the Canary Islands over the winter period. The new flights will start in October.
Ryanair's expansion in the Canary Islands is good news for owners of
Tenerife apartments and those renting out accommodation for
Lanzarote holidays. People with holiday homes on
Gran Canaria will also benefit.
Ryanair is confident that the 39 new routes will bring an additional two million holidaymakers to the Canary Islands. There will be 16 new routes to Gran Canaria, 15 to Lanzarote and eight more to Tenerife.
The new services will operate from 16 bases across Europe. These include
Bristol, Prestwick (
Glasgow), Luton, Stansted East Midlands and
Liverpool in the UK. Shannon and
Dublin will also get new flights, as will Girona (
Barcelona) and
Madrid, amongst other destinations.
The carrier says that these routes are viable thanks to the 100 per cent discount on airport charges in the Canaries this winter. Neither are there "tourist taxes" like the UK's Air Passenger Duty in Spain.
