Dubai's status as an international destination, its welcoming and friendly people and the fact that it has an excellent security record means it will become increasingly popular with tourists, it has been claimed.Indeed, Nick Marr, CEO of international property portal Homesgofast, believes that Dubai is "the future" when it comes to holidaymaking.
"I think it is going to be one of the most popular places in the world," he confirmed.
"It can offer unique things. Sports City, for example, will hold all the major tournaments, then there are the theme parks; Dubailand will outstrip Disney Land. The plans there are absolutely massive. Everything there is ten times as big.
"It is going to be the attraction of the world."
As a result, Dubai - located in the
United Arab Emirates - is likely to be seriously considered as a location for property investment by market speculators - especially as everything built is of the "highest quality".
What's more, rental rates increased by 38 per cent in 2005 alone, a survey by latticewerks.co.uk has found, making the practise particularly lucrative.
