Rental market in Spain remains popular
Property rentals in Spain are still much sought after, according to an industry expert.James Dearsley, European sales manager for Atlas International, said the market appeals not only to those looking for a break in the sunshine, but also to those looking to rent long-term while looking for a property to buy.
He explained the popularity of the market: "You've got a very different market to London, and that market is only ever increasing because it's getting cheaper to get to Spain; it's only two and a half hours away from most airports."
Meanwhile, he added, those looking to buy property to rent out can rest assured that the market enjoys greater stability than that of Britain.
"It's not suffering any of the problems we see over in the UK, from the buy-to-let side anyway."
Spanish Property Insight recently revealed in a report that there has been an increase in Spanish property prices of 5.3 per cent in the past 12 months.
It pointed out that the Murcia region saw the best annual growth in the country at 10.7 cent while Alicante saw the worst at just 2.1 per cent.
