Gambia next holiday home hotspot?
Gambia could be the next holiday home hotspot, according to an industry expert.Homesgofast.com said that the West African state, which has been dubbed 'The New Caribbean', has seen an increase in investor confidence in recent years.
The sun-kissed beaches of this non-traditional holiday destination have grown in popularity in recent years, seeing an increase in the number of package holidays to the area.
Sun-seeking Britons are being attracted to its winter temperatures of 30 degrees Celsius and its population of just 1.5 million.
The state also has low inflation and crime rates.
"When you look at all the facts and figures for this region, along with the government's desire to encourage direct inward investment, it appears that Gambia has all the hallmarks of an exciting, emerging market for overseas property investors," said Nicholas Marr, chief executive of homesgofast.com.
"We intend to take on real estate agents to spread the word about Gambian property and are pleased that we are already able to offer attractive coastal properties to our clients."
