Overseas property investors ought to consider making a purchase in the Bulgarian city of Sofia, it has been claimed.According to Deborah Fox, director of Emerging Real Estate, Sofia is currently a "very buoyant market", where demand remains high and outstrips the supply of properties.
"Any investors who are looking for good capital growth, and for rentals, should be looking in the best areas in Sofia," she advised.
Among the locations that are proving to be worthwhile ventures are Lozenetz, Iztok and Doctor's Gardens, all of which are "real quality areas" that are generating a significant amount of interest, Ms Fox suggested.
"Expats particularly are looking for the high-quality end, which you can find in those areas," she added.
The National Statistical Institute recently reported that during the third quarter of last year, the average residential property price in Bulgaria rose by 7.5 per cent, according to the Sofia Echo.
