Cote d'Azur remains strong investment, says expert

Cote d'Azur remains strong investment, says expert
Cote d'Azur remains strong investment, says expertDespite the global credit crunch, property in the French Cote d'Azur region continues to be a good investment, according to one expert.

Nick Dowlatshahi, managing director of Leapfrog Properties, said that even during slow economic times, the Cote d'Azur is "still doing very well".

"Even though it's a bit more expensive than you might pay elsewhere in France it's worth it because it's such a solid market especially if you get properties which are in the prime locations," he explained.

Holidaymakers are drawn to the Riviera due to its "many nice beaches" and other attractions which are connected by an "excellent" transport system, Mr Dowlatshahi claimed.

"You have got regular flights that come into Nice, it's very easy to pop down for the weekend and [sample] what attracts people to France generally which is the food, the wine, the culture," he added.

The Nice tram system carries some 60,000 passengers a day and now travels to downtown Nice, the Telegraph reports.
