Balkan property tipped for investment
Balkan property tipped for investmentMontenegro and Albania have been singled out as potential property investment hotspots of the future by a number of industry experts.

Overseas property blog NuBricks.com cites plans from both countries' governments to increase investment in their respective tourism industries.

Both Montenegro and Albania have coastlines and resorts on the Adriatic, but have yet to experience the levels of development and tourist interest seen in Greece and Croatia.

The costs of living are also correspondingly lower, making them relatively good value.

Montenegro – until 2006 part of Serbia – is particularly likely to benefit quickly, thanks to its early moves to achieve membership of the European Union.

"EU membership has assisted many countries across the Balkans region," Sarah Brown of NuBricks suggests.

"Even though it is very much early days, the signs are there that history may well be about to repeat itself."

Property investment website Amberlamb has also recommended Montenegro as an "attractive place" for overseas investment.
