Austrian property attracts families
The Austrian property market is proving popular with families looking for holiday homes, it has been claimed.Jessica Delaney, who deals with sales in the country for Investors in Property, said that 80 per cent of those who buy Austrian property with the company are families with children.
The country offers a variety of activities that appeal to families, including horse riding and cycling, she noted.
"They take the bicycles up on the chair lift to the top of the mountain and cycle down. You have a two-hour downhill cycle, stopping off at the little huts for drinks and cheese and bread on the way down," she remarked.
One of the significant benefits of purchasing a holiday home in
Austria is that the country boasts "two high seasons", Ms Delaney added.
While many people may view
Austria as a winter destination, figures from Statistics Austria revealed that the country is more popular in the summer.
According to the organisation, there were 14.1 million visitors last winter, compared with 16.7 million in the summer.
