Shilpa Shetty buys Surrey mansion

Shilpa Shetty, winner of Celebrity Big Brother 2007, has bought a Surrey mansion. It is thought that Shetty has invested in the UK property to use it as a base while she launches a television career in Britain, possibly on EastEnders.
Shetty, 33, spent £10m on the
property in Weybridge, claims The People. Bollywood star Shetty is believed to be in talks with the BBC for a role in its popular soap,
EastEnders.
The seven bedroom house is on
St George's Hill estate in Weybridge. The estate has its own golf course and former residents have included John Lennon, Ringo Starr, Cliff Richard, Tom Jones and Elton John.
Shetty's new
Surrey home has wrought iron gates and is approached via a tree lined drive. The property could become her marital home, as it is reported that Shetty may soon marry her partner,
London born millionaire and business man
Raj Kundra.
Shetty recently expressed her sadness at the death of
Jade Goody, who rose to fame after participating in Big Brother. Goody later took part in Celebrity Big Brother with Shetty.
