Paris Hilton renting in London while she searches for a new best friend

Paris Hilton is currently renting in Hampstead while she films a new reality television programme. The socialite has said she would love to live in London permanently and has already bought a characterful new house in the city.

Hilton is currently renting a £7,500-a-week property in London's Hampstead area, according to The Daily Mail.

Although she has only been in the city a few weeks, Hilton has announced her wish to live in London on a more permanent basis.

"I love it here; I am going to move here permanently. I have already been here for a month and am much, much happier here," the Los Angeles socialite told the paper.

According to reports in the Daily Star, Hilton is a step closer to living in London permanently. Although she is renting in Hampstead at present, Hilton is said to have bought a converted Victorian brothel in the heart of London's East End for £850,000.

"It's just beautiful. It doesn't have regular rooms but is more like a maze," said Hilton.

Hilton is in London to film the reality show 'Paris Hilton's British Best Friend' for ITV. The show will follow Hilton as she whittles a group of potential best friends down to just one. Contestants will share a house and gradually be eliminated as they try to keep up with Hilton's "dizzying" schedule.
