Out of Wimbledon, Nadal buys holiday villa in Ibiza

Rafael Nadal has bought a holiday villa in Ibiza. Nadal pulled out of Wimbledon due to problems with his knees. Britain's hopes are pinned on Andy Murray, who chose to move house the week before Wimbledon.
Nadal is joining the rich and famous, including Danni Minogue, with
Ibiza villas. Although Nadal will not be playing in this year's Wimbledon, which begins today, The Mail on Sunday hopes he takes comfort in the fact his Ibizan holiday home is "coming along nicely".
23 year old Nadal's new home is being built in the
San Jose area of Ibiza. Nadal will be able to relax on the popular beach of Cala Jondal, where it is said holidaymakers can pay up to £70 to hire a sunlounger for a day.
"Ibiza has gained a reputation in the past two years for contemporary architecture," said a local builder. "You now see various examples of incredible, large villas dotted around the hillsides, costing millions of pounds."
Commenting on Nadal's choice of location, he joked: "It's a bit of one-upmanship for Ibiza that Nadal [who is from
Mallorca] has chosen to build himself a lavish holiday home here."
